Biography
Dr. Montse Cortina Puig completed her MSc in Chemistry at Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2001, and her PhD in Chemistry at the Sensors and Biosensors Group of the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2007, under the supervision of Professor Manel del Valle Zafra. Between 2007 and 2011 she got two postdoctoral positions, first at the University of Perpignan (France) and later at the Barcelona Institute of Microelectronics (IMB-CNM). In 2011 she joined the EUSS School of Engineering in Barcelona. Ever since, she combines teaching with research in the field of environmental chemistry, collaborating with the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA - CSIC). In 2009 she was accredited as Maître de Conférences by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche (France) and as Lecturer by the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia (AQU). In 2010 she was accredited as Associate Professor by the AQU.
